This application was carried out by C.I.T Automatizari in Romania for their customer VALROM.
CIT Automatizari started its activity in 2004 as a training provider and application integrator in the field of industrial automation. CIT Automatizari represent Horner in Romania and they pay special attention to the training of their staff, to be up to date with the new technologies in the dynamic field of industrial automation.
The Horner products chosen were the eXL10, Smartstix I/O modules and WEBMi for remote monitoring.
The eXL10 All-in-One controller with a built-in 10.4” VGA TFT colour touchscreen, built-in I/O, networking options, removable MicroSD Card and USB ports. It is programmable by Horner APG’s industry recognised Cscape software and can control a wide range of different processes and machines from small to medium applications. The eXL10 comes fully equipped with dual 100Mbps Ethernet ports built into every model. No additional Ethernet add-ons or accessories are needed. The eXL10 Ethernet support includes an integrated Web Server, FTP Host, Email, Modbus/TCP Master/Slave, Programming and more.
The eXL10 includes two CAN ports. The eXL10 I/O expansion is not limited to its Built-in I/O.
SmartStix I/O are terminal-block style I/O for Operator Control Stations (OCS). They are a Cost-effective option as expansion or remote I/O – connects to any OCS CsCAN network port.
WEBMI

Published directly from the OCS controller, WebMI allows users to control everything onscreen from a computer, tablet, or other mobile device.
The application was a success as the customer placed an additional order to replicate the system shortly after its implementation.
