For Machine Control and especially Process Control applications – PID is a basic building block for Automation Engineers. We have covered PID extensively on this channel – but not specifically as it relates to Cscape’s IEC Editor. The Cscape IEC editor offers some unique capabilities over its Advanced Ladder option – namely Floating Point PID. While integer based PID is highly effective – Floating Point offers some advantages and operational differences that we will explore in this technical session.
