Overview

The ZX has advanced control capabilities, high-resolution graphics, and plenty of connectivity options.  The ZX is programmed using our Cscape configuration software.  Both advanced ladder logic and full IEC language sets are also supported.  For advanced ladder, the ZX controller features online programme change – where logic changes can be made without stopping or pausing the logic scan.

The ZX has two ultra-fast Ethernet ports (1Gbit/s) with one dedicated to our capable Ethernet I/O ( SmartRail).   This keeps the I/O traffic completely segregated from any SCADA, ERP or internet related traffic. The ZX also supports faster CAN I/O (1Mbit/s) for Smartrail or at lower speeds for other I/O Systems such as Smartstix or SmartBlock for example.  ZX has three serial ports with Modbus and Third-Party Protocol support.  The built-in web-server offers the User a light-weight alternative to more complex SCADA systems.  The FTP server allows system administrators to upload new recipe data and new web pages as well as download the latest data logs.
