Il desing del controller all-in-one XL7 Prime comprende uno schermo touchscreen ad alta risoluzione a colori, Formato wide screen, I/O integrato, opzioni di networking, MicroSD rimovibile e porte USB. È programmabile tramite CsCAPE, il software di programmazione Horner e può controllare una vasta gamma di processi e macchinari per piccole e medie applicazioni. XL7 Prime si presenta ben equipaggiato con due porte Ethernet 100Mbps integrate in ogni modello. Nessuna aggiunta o accessorio Ethernet è necessario. Il supporto Ethernet di XL7 Prime include un Web Server integrato, Host FTP, Email, Modbus/TCP Master/Slave, Programmazione e molto altro.
XL7 Prime include due porte CAN. Il numero di I/O di XL7 non è limitato a quello integrato.

There are 4 high-speed inputs of the total DC Inputs. There are 2 high-speed outputs of the total DC outputs. Model 2, 3 & 4 feature 12-bit Analogue I/O. Model 5 features 14/16-bit Analogue I/O. High-speed Outputs can be used for PWM and Pulse Train Outputs, currently limited to <65 kHz. Model 6 features a 17-bit analogue I/O.
